On 1 January 2015 , the Saudi Wahhabi authorities detained the activist 'Montazer Ali al-Subeiti', 28 years, from Dira district in Awwamiya town in Qatif.
Al-Subeiti was arrested when a Saudi security force in plain clothes traveling civilian cars, surrounded him in the main street of Awwamiya, and riding him in an ambulance.
Al-Subeiti was one of 23 wanted persons on a list Interior Ministry.
Al-Subeiti was detained on April 2011, under the charge of taking part in the peaceful demonstrations in the city of Qatif, and released in July 2011.
